Every carefully curated record collection tells a story about its owner.

In short, xcaiticx’s story regarding his collection is all about possession and safe. He always grabs vinyl records when they come out, and some of them may not be seen again for a while. At meanwhile, xcaiticx has another principle while building his collection-always having a back-up, or maybe two or even more. For recently resleased records, xcaiticx usually gets at least 3 copies as he knows accident happens without notice, it's just a matter of time. As a result, xcaiticx's collection ends up with a lot of duplicates, and most of them are brand new and have never been opened.

On the other hand, xcaiticx got a lot of records from the 60s to 80s, and most of them are original pressings. Being a perfectionist, xcaiticx keeps looking for these original pressings with better conditions until he finally finds one that meets all his expectations. This means that even for those rare and precious records, xcaiticx has two or maybe even three copies of them as well.

With that being said, the storage becomes a new problem for xcaiticx. In case the racks and boxes run out of room for new records, xcaiticx decides to sell part of his private collection. Not only could it solve the space situation for upcoming records, but also give other collectors and enthusiasts another chance to get their favorite vinyl.

By launching the Private Sales of Used & Rare Records (PSURR), xcaiticx is trying to create a community with curated boxes of records for sale. It would be kept small and limited as xcaiticx believes participants would get creative around limitations. When the Private Sales is on, it can be quite full on and be quite high energy. While bidding on records, participants start to talk about music and share their musical journeys. It’s an intimate space and experience for all participants and xcaiticx.

“胶”个朋友！

黑胶贩促会上出售的黑胶全部为xcaiticx的私人收藏。因为对于黑胶有着强烈的不安全感，在一张黑胶唱片发售时，xcaiticx经常会在第一时间购入多张相同的黑胶，因此积累了数量庞大的重复唱片；同时，xcaiticx又是一个有着极端强迫症的完美主义者，对一张唱片各个方面的品相都有着很高的追求，尤其是首版唱片。这也意味着在收藏过程中，不断的会有“不完美品相”的唱片被“完美品相”的唱片所取代，因此也积累了许多重复且“不那么完美”的唱片。

当初，xcaiticx举办黑胶贩促会的初衷只是由于日渐增长的黑胶收藏已经让收纳黑胶的空间变得捉襟见肘，甚至新收到的唱片只能屈居于地板，因此xcaiticx不得不将一些重复的唱片出售来给新收的唱片腾出空间。在前几次的黑胶贩促会上，许多人获得了自己梦寐以求的黑胶，同时也热情地分享了他们有关音乐和黑胶的故事。

黑胶贩促会让许多人收获颇丰，不管是物质上的还是精神上的。从此，xcaiticx开始把黑胶贩促会升级成了带有社群性质的黑胶贩促×胶流会，在为黑胶找到一个“家”的同时也能让其他人实现“胶”个朋友一起“胶”流的愿望。
