Record collectors enjoy the process of putting a record on and lightly dropping the needle in the outermost groove. Record collectors love feeling the cool, ridged surface of a record under their fingers. It is infinitely more pleasurable to record collectors than thumbing through an on-screen music app—it allows them to connect with the process of making sound.
